The meeting took place on the morning of Friday, July 11, at Paços do Concelho, which was attended by the mayor of Salense Júlio Lopes, councilors Jassy Sousa and Maria João Brito, who received, in audience, Samira Duarte, President of the Board of Directors of the Regulatory Authority for Public Procurement (ARAP) and Paula Vieira, administrator of that authority.
“The meeting took place following an awareness campaign carried out by this regulatory authority with Cape Verde's municipalities to comply with the public procurement code and also so that municipal councils have training, knowledge of all procedures and launch of public tenders”, said the CEO of ARAP, Samira Duarte who, taking the opportunity to congratulate the Municipality of Sal for being a Chamber that complies with the public procurement code.
In turn, the mayor of Salense Júlio Lopes expressed his satisfaction in receiving the ARAP team, thanked the distinction and guaranteed that the Municipality of Sal will continue to collaborate in complying with the rules and procedures established in the code of public administration, in order to guarantee transparency in the management of public affairs.
